Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 5, 2026. This policy explains what information Collective Media Group collects through collectiveculturenyc.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Who we are
Collective Media Group (also known as Collective Culture Media, "CMG", "we", "us") is a media production company based in New York, NY. We operate this website, www.collectiveculturenyc.com, and the YouTube shows The Latin Experience, Hasta La Tambora Podcast and Tu Dosis de Cultura con Osaliki. You can reach us at info@collectiveculturenyc.com.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you send a production request or contact form, or submit an event listing, we receive the details you enter: your name, email address, phone number, company, project or event details, dates, budget range and any notes. We use this to reply to you, prepare quotes, produce your project and, for event listings you submit, review and publish them on our calendar.
Information collected automatically. Our web host keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, date and time) for security and troubleshooting. We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not sell personal information.
Cookies. This site does not set advertising or analytics cookies of its own. Embedded content from third parties, such as YouTube or Vimeo videos, may set their own cookies when you play it. See their policies below.
How we use information
We use the information above to respond to inquiries, deliver and invoice productions, publish approved calendar listings, keep the site secure and improve it. We do not use it for automated decision-making, and we do not sell, rent or trade it.
YouTube API Services
CMG uses YouTube API Services to schedule live broadcasts for the YouTube channels that CMG owns and operates. By using our website you are also agreeing to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's use of information is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.
What our application accesses. Our internal scheduling tool connects only to YouTube channels owned by CMG, and only after an authorized CMG administrator signs in with the Google account that manages that channel and approves access. With that approval the tool can read the channel's name and ID, list the channel's upcoming broadcasts, create scheduled live broadcasts and stream keys, update their title, description, category and tags, and set their thumbnail. It does not read, collect or store data about viewers, subscribers or commenters, and it does not access private data from any account other than the CMG channel accounts that were connected.
What we store. We store an access credential (a refresh token) and the channel name and ID for each connected CMG channel, on our own server, so that the tool can schedule broadcasts without asking for sign-in each time. Credentials are not displayed, shared with third parties or used for any other purpose.
Limited Use. CMG's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Revoking access. The owner of a connected channel can remove CMG's access at any time at security.google.com/settings/security/permissions, or ask us to delete the stored credential by emailing info@collectiveculturenyc.com.
This website also displays public information from our YouTube channels, such as video titles, thumbnails and live status. That information is publicly available on YouTube.
Services we use
We rely on trusted service providers to run the site and our business: our web host (JetHost), Airtable (to manage event listings and production requests), Google Fonts (to load fonts), YouTube and Vimeo (to show videos) and Google (for the YouTube integration described above). These providers process information only as needed to provide their services and under their own privacy policies.
How long we keep information
We keep contact and project records for as long as needed to serve you and meet legal and accounting obligations. Event listings stay on our calendar until they are removed. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you, by emailing info@collectiveculturenyc.com. We will respond within a reasonable time. Residents of some states and countries have additional rights under local law, and we honor those requests as well.
Security
We use access controls, encrypted connections (HTTPS) and restricted administrator accounts to protect information. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the date at the top.
